Vista Sucks

This is about the best way to describe my experience with Vista: it simply sucks!

The other day I was thinking, In our product, it would be cool to implement navigation and related tasks with an Office 2007 ribbon metaphor. Then I went to the Microsoft Office home page and saw they already had that going. Well, today Telerik made available a sample of how to build a ribbon with their controls. Go check out, it’s definitely cool.

I plead ignorance: I don’t know who John Cowan is, but his slide deck RESTful Web Services (PDF) is among the best discussions of REST best practices I’ve seen to date.

Expression Web is Awesome

If there was an announcement of Microsoft’s Expression Web release, I somehow missed it. I was in for a pleasant surprise when I watched the 5 training videos. Very impressive! Beware, though—videos are narrated… (*yawn*) like a fairy tale… Zzzzzzz

Debugging JavaScript with Aptana

Aptana, the purported “Dreamweaver killer”, doesn’t cease to amaze me. Yahoo! UI Blog guys posted a screencast with Aptana’s founder, Paul Colton, giving a run-down on Aptana’s “IntelliSense” and JavaScript debugging capabilities.
