The Best Design Coding Guidelines Ever

This must be the best video presentation on web standards and SEO. If you are so astounded by the clarity of the material that you can’t remember a thing, below are a few points to take away:

  • Do your layout with divs
  • Please don’t use tables even though they work fine
  • Describe the DOCTYPE so the browser can relate
  • Check in all browsers
  • Title everything including links and images
  • Don’t use <b(old)>, please use <strong> ’cause if you use <b(old)> then it’s all then wrong

Go watch now and enjoy!

Don’t use tables for layout, surely.

Nice!! (Not sure I agree with titles on everything though -- they don't offer any SEO value, and offer limited accessibility. Of course they can be useful, but blanket use on everything I would be cautious about.)

I have seen this guy before on a video about linking and getting PR. Before I saw his video I never would have thought that someone would actually taken the time to make a rap around web development. In any case, I think he does a great job and from I know about the linking video and what to look out for, he seems to be right on. Obviously he touched only on pretty basic code practices but I think he does great...maybe new genre on MTV. ha ha. Hopefully more people tune into him because there is still a lot ugly code and clueless developers out there.

I got to hand it to the Poetic SEO Rapper, you got to me and you have accomplished what friends have tried in the months I started to learn web programming. Thanks to this site's w.master, finally DOCTYPE and checking all browsers will be fully understood...there's nothing as irritating as a site that does not run on the browser you have...
